Dear all,
Phuuh... This has been one buzy year! Now it's time to relax a little and charge the batteries for new show season. I try to sum a little the year past.
First wonderful notice: The lowchen interest seems to be growing nicely across Nordic, several new entusiastic people have found Løwchen "the hidden secret of the dog world".
On our part year has been really unbelievable! Looking back the past year it is very hard to name one big highlight, it could easily been so many, but if try to name one it might have to be the 2nd weekend in September! Inner Voice "Seela" went Best in Show and all the youngsters did so well, it was SO amazing! Dennis on a phone to Birgit (who was winning in Ålesund with Keanu) at the same time as I was in big ring with others.
A month later in Sweden Seela went BIS again in Swedish toy dog association show, Sampo being BOS, both gaining their Nord Ch titles. Following day Sampo took his last cacib towards his International title and our beautiful loan Soleydan Royal Rhapsody gained her Swedish title 4 months after her puppies under breed specialist from UK.
May and Mensa (Deeper Vision) deserve BIG tap on their backs, BIS junior in Norway, BOS junior in Sweden and following day Junior World Winner out of 12 bitch juniors!!! May's beautiful Magia placing second, how wonderful May!!
Mensa's brother(Distant Shores) in Australia has won puppy and junior in groups! Liane and Cath, big thank You for taking such a great care of BB! 3rd from the litter, PP(Destiny Twist), has been showed 3 times here in Norway and is now growing up and hopefully ready to be showed 2009. Other little jewel forth of mentioning most certainly is Cossu's J Lo, she already has 3 CCs under her belt before she was 10 months old!
One super show was Trondheim International where we got two new International Champions in one show! Stars of the lowchen ring were Wanted Kit'n Kaboodle(BOS) and Wanted Inner Voice(BOS). Nothing wrong with Svenstavik in Sweden either where Cossu's Gary Glitter was BOB and Mulan vom Burgwald BOS.
We also would like to send special THANK YOU to Marika & Nikolai (Isaac Hayes) who have been doing excellent job in Finland gaining 2 cc's in good competition!! WELL DONE!
Sampo's moving to Ireland was a very big for us. Gladly he settling very well to his home. Florence is kindly keeping us updated on his well being.

This year has also had it's sad points. Our dear dear friend, a true mentor, Lotta Hellstöm (kennel Fairlawn's) passed away and we miss her so very much. There is not a day that she would not be in my thoughts. Lotta had so big passion for the breed and it's well being! Soon after Lotta shock came more sad news. Finnish Lowchen legend Ingrid Wiita (kennel Angel Walley's) passed away all very sudden. Ingrid has done so much for lowchens and doneted so much of her time and effort for the breed. Rest in peace Lotta & Ingrid!

Soleydan Sampo has moved to Ireland as agreed in very beginning when we got the pleasure to have him living with us. We can not thank Kirsi Nummela of Soleydan enough, for entrusting us to have this piece of gold, and Florence having the patience to wait her boy :)

Well yes... Our little lions are making us really speechless.
This was a historical weekend for the breed in Norway... As far as we know Løwchen has never won Best in Show in Norway, nor that Løwchens would take two BIS win in same show. As for the icing all lowchens placed, ONCE again, in all groups they went in. (Facts checked: Lowchens have been twice BIS in Norway, 1989 and 1990 and winners were litter siblings Angel Walley's Sabine & Simone, but to be the third is nice as well :) :) )
Then another puppy group win for lion... This year 4 DIFFERENT lions have won the puppy group in Norway!!! Biggest hugs to Birgit to Ålesund for such a wonderful weekend. Keanu is Birgit's first løwchen and as results show she is doing a good job with Keanu :)

recognised in group level, on Sunday lowchens were placed in every

The story for his name... Bear is the prominent worshipped animal in Finnish mythology. Bears were believed to come from the sky and have the ability to reincarnate. Bear is the symbol of strength, power and at the same time to face a bear is a magical happening, a turning point start of something new.
Bears believing litteraly means it's worthy of belief. Belief in the future and better days :) Which we hope Nils will be to Klaus and Magdalena Tröstl, while they lost their beloved Finlay very sudden and so very unexpected.
His petname comes from Swedish author's Selma Lagelöf's famous book
The Wonderful Adventures of Nils Holgersson.

progesterone test on Thursday and it showed: Mating to be NOW!!! So
quick call to Lena Olsen who welcomed us, and off we went :) 700km
special stage Støren-Uppsala was fast done, and
Åke did
his job beautifully. So now let's hope that it was not too late, and we
would get beautiful Åke-Vivian babies!!!
